World Snooker- Halo

Event Overview

World Snooker wanted the energy of the World Championship to reach beyond the Crucible Theatre itself, transforming Sheffield city centre into part of the tournament experience and building excitement before a ball was struck. Alongside increasing visibility and public engagement, the aim was to enhance the visitor journey through impactful internal branding, while encouraging interaction, boosting ticket sales and promoting future events.

Project Overview

This project was about turning a world-class sporting event into a city-wide experience. Working across the Crucible Theatre and key surrounding locations, we created a visually immersive championship environment that built anticipation, captured attention and connected people with the event long before they entered the arena. Externally, large-format branding transformed the theatre into the unmistakable home of the championship, while additional installations across Sheffield extended the atmosphere into the city itself, delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption in coordination with Sheffield City Council. Inside the venue, the focus shifted to experience and atmosphere, with personalised branding across entrances, hospitality areas and dwell spaces creating a warm, premium environment that felt easy to navigate and enjoyable to spend time in throughout the tournament. Past champions and iconic tournament moments were woven alongside this year’s players, celebrating the history, prestige and legacy of the championship while keeping the experience visually fresh for returning audiences. QR codes, future event advertising and digital ticketing touchpoints were integrated throughout the venue to encourage interaction and support future audience growth, while sustainable production methods and reusable branding elements were used wherever possible. The result was a connected, memorable event environment that made the championship feel bigger than the venue itself, elevating the experience for fans, guests and partners alike.
